O Thou kind Lord!

Unite all.

Let the religions agree and make the nations one,
so that they may see each other as one family
and the whole earth as one home.

Prayer for Unity

One of the best-known prayers by Bahá’u’lláh is:

O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit.

Purify my heart.

Illumine my powers.

I lay all my affairs in Thy hand.

Thou art my Guide and my Refuge.

I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved;
I will be a happy and joyful being.

O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety,
nor will I let trouble harass me.

I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life.

This prayer is often used for comfort and trust in God.

Another beloved Baháʼí prayer asks:

O God!

Make me a hollow reed
from which the pith of self hath been blown,
that I may become a clear channel
through which Thy love may flow to others.

Prayer for Strength and Comfort

A commonly recited prayer includes:

O God, my God!

Thou art my Hope and my Beloved,
my highest aim and desire.

With great humility and entire devotion
I pray to Thee to make me
a minaret of Thy love in Thy land,
a lamp of Thy knowledge among Thy creatures,
and a banner of Thy peace among Thy servants.
