Perhaps the best-known Sikh prayer for peace is the closing petition of the Ardās, the community’s formal prayer.
In Punjabi:
Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhane Sarbat da Bhala.
A common English translation is:
Through the Divine Name may we remain in ever-rising spirit. By Your will, may there be well-being for all humanity.
This phrase is cherished throughout Sikhism and expresses a desire for the good of everyone, regardless of religion, nationality, or background.

The opening verse of the Guru Granth Sahib begins:
Ik Onkar,
Sat Naam,
Karta Purakh…
This prayer prayer proclaims the oneness of God and serves as the theological foundation for peaceful living, equality, and unity.
Many Sikhs express prayers in words such as:
May God bless all people.
May there be peace in every heart.
May truth, compassion, and justice prevail.
May all humanity flourish together.
While not a fixed liturgical text, this reflects themes deeply rooted in Sikh teaching.
